So here it is my maiden voyage at blogging. I created this blog as a way to give back. I have learned so much from other peoples blogs I thought it was time I shared my limited experience and maybe helped someone else.
I thought my first post could be about one of my favorite yarns, classic worsted tapestry. I have now made two pairs of socks from this yarn. They are toe up, based on a lot of winging it, and the amazing info available at
http://www.cometosilver.com/socks/
This made the entire toe up sock mystery very clear. These two pairs of socks also have the distinction of being my first two! so they have a special place in my heart. The socks are fast, easy super warm, and cozy. The pair for my boyfriend were in a color way called coal fire, which is red black and white. For myself I used rose garden, which features pinks, oranges and white. I loved working with the yarn, and my fella actually wears his socks! A warning however, they are quite thick, and not really suitable for wearing in shoes, but for bed socks, or knock around socks, perfection. The yarns self pattern is adorable, and a nice alternative for those of us who are fair isle impaired!
